Recently on a return flight from NYC, using my iPhone, I shot a cluster of wind turbines from the window of the plane as we landed. I felt a familiar spike or a pull in that moment. This happens to me a lot. Creatives know the feeling; that call to go make something. In my case, it’s often images.
I’m originally from the Midwest and so I’m sometimes surprised by the early arrival of Fall in the Northeast. It’s been 18 years since I lived in my home town of Omaha, NE. Since living in Buffalo, it has been a great joy for me to photograph the amazing colors all around Western New York during Fall months. This Fall, wind turbines have entered my creative space in a new way. In my adventures searching for them, I have stumbled upon numerous small wonders.
